Goshen Elementary

Next year, preschool will look a little different at Goshen Elementary. Unfortunately, our school will not qualify for Title I funding next year. As a result, we will no longer offer a free preschool program.

In place of the free option, we will offer a tuition-based preschool with an integrated special education model. Each class will include approximately half general education students and half special education students. District leaders are finalizing pricing, and we expect the cost to be considerably less than most private preschools. For three-year-olds, there will be two sessions that meet twice per week, with a total of 16 general education spots available. For four-year-olds, there will be a session that meets four days per week, with about eight general education spots available.

Because spots are limited, we encourage interested families to join the waitlist using the QR code you can scan to add your name to the list. Mrs. Laura will be teaching at Taylor Elementary School next year, and our preschool will be led by a new teacher. We will share additional details about enrollment, pricing, and schedules as district decisions are finalized.

Nebo Title VI American Indian Education Program will be hosting a Multicultural Fashion show on Thursday March 26, 2026. Everyone is invited to attend this fun night to learn about traditional, contemporary and special events in fashion from the different cultures in our area. The event will take place at Spanish Fork High School from 6:00-8:00.

El Programa de Educación para Indígenas Americanos Nebo Título VI organizará un desfile de moda multicultural el jueves 26 de marzo de 2026. Todos están invitados a asistir a esta divertida velada para aprender sobre moda tradicional, contemporánea y eventos especiales de las diferentes culturas de nuestra región. El evento tendrá lugar en la Escuela Preparatoria Spanish Fork de 6:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m.

This week we are having our Food Drive. If you have any non-perishable food or hygiene items you would like to donate, send them to school! We will be gathering them by grade level.

Payson Jr. High's Peer Leadership class came and helped Mrs. Haines' first graders make Thanksgiving pumpkins. Thanks for coming and doing such a fun activity with them!

Our 2nd Grade classes honored our country's veterans this week by putting on a wonderful Veteran's Day Assembly. They have been practicing their speaking parts and all of the wonderful songs, and they did such a great job! A huge thanks goes out to our 2nd Grade teachers Mrs. McKenna, Ms. McInelly & Miss Marvin. You guys are wonderful!

Thank you to all of the veterans that have fought for our country! We appreciate and honor you!

Goshen Elementary's Movie Night will be held on Monday, November 10th, at 6:00 pm. We will be showing Disney's Coco. There will be food to purchase and face painting available. Please buy food/activity vouchers in the office that night.

Happy Halloween! Our school was full of ghosts and ghouls, princesses and cowboys today. We want to wish everyone a fun and safe Halloween!

On Friday, October 24th, the kindergartners took a field trip t the Bean Museum. They had a great time and learned a lot about animals. They then stopped and ate lunch at the All Abilities Park in Spanish Fork. They had a great time!

We recently had our annual Goshen Safety Fair, where different departments from the Utah County Sheriff's Department, along with AirMed came and visited our community. During school, the kids were able to see a K9 officer do what he does best....take down the bad guys, see and learn about AirMed and how they help people get medical care quickly, and they learned and were able to see first hand many of the things the Sheriff's Department does to help us. After school, the community was invited to come learn about these important community helpers. The kids at Goshen Elementary always look forward to the safety fair, and it never disappoints. A HUGE thank you goes out to all of the people that volunteer their time to make this event happen, especially Sargent Dutson with the Sheriff's Department. He spends a LOT of time scheduling, arranging and putting the event together.

We have an incredibly rare opportunity to participate in the 9/11 Remembrance Event being held at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds. This is not just for students, it is for all our families. Please take some time today , Thursday, September 11th through Saturday, September 13th from 9 am to 9 pm to attend this wonderful event. We are so grateful to the Major Brent Taylor Foundation for putting on this event and helping us to "REMEMBER".

Nebo is partnering with the Utah Food Bank again this year to provide free summer meals in four of Nebo School District communities. Fresh and free summer meals will be offered every Monday through Friday. Kids Cause is excited to invite you to our Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 2! This event will support students in Nebo School District by helping provide glasses, dental work, clothing, and other essentials. Kids Cause works closely with school social workers and administrators to identify students who need extra help, making a real difference in our community. The tournament promises a fun day for a great cause — just $60 per person! Bring your own foursome if possible! Lunch will be provided, and there will be lots of prizes to win throughout the day.
